My eyes are in pain, my eyes are in pain, my eyes are in pain... Nice coloring, but I'll never get convinced to this modern art.

ZabuJard responds:

thanks for the review friend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looks like an album cover of a band from the 70s

If you need an opinion I'd say this is marvellous (or at least in comparison to me), but seems lacking. Compared to your previous practice picture it seems something is amiss, I can't define it or pinpoint it but the shoulders and the face just don't feel right though individual elements are done masterfully.

MistyRoxy responds:

hmmm... lacking, you say... If you'll figure out what can be improved please let me know! I kinda like it more than a previous one :P But it's a speed paint (around 3 hours - for me it's realy realy fast :P) from a photo and got more caricatured, cartoony. I try to be more painterly and loose and throw away perfectionism because he's a prick and with him around I can't finish anything :P Thank you so much for your thoughts I appreciate it! :D

Looks good, I like sketch art, for some reason paper and pencil can unleash certain neat potential, You a comicbook writer?

Sr-Estroncio responds:

Thanks man, I like sketches as well, there's a certain simplistic charm to them that seems to get taken away when people add more complexity. I'm not a writer, just a design student, though I'm very curious as to why you'd think I was one, haha

The simple reality of modern capitalist customer-supplier relations or at least when it comes to grocery industry. All modern companies flood the client with an absolute obedience and respect beyond deserving at the cost of its workers simply cause the client is spoiled for choice when it comes to competition. Industries that have little field for innovation can't out-compete their opponents with new ideas so they stay competitive by increasing the customer relations and service quality. When my country was in the communist era this kind of client behaviour was unacceptable cause almost all industries were nationalized and competition was non-existent, you bought was you were supplied and if you complained you can take a half-mile long walk to another shop.

Looks like a shot from "The Reign of Fire" (Great movie BTF) Nicely done. One thing that bothers me is the lack of anti-alising on the most important part of the artwork, I don't if this is art choice or is it an issue with picture processing but the pixelation sticks out.

Anepticus responds:

Yes I noticed. I think some weird compression caused that.

I still find this strategy bit useless. It's like grabbing the opponent by his hands while having no feet to kick. No way to get hit, but also no way to kill. It's also a massive risk of impaling your mouth with those things and for a T-rex or practically any animal an infected mouth injury is a death sentence. I think they went for the neck more.

Is this canvas of hard paper? I can't tell.

KattyC responds:

paper :)

These days people aren't certain of their own gender until they're adults LOL
